The relations between terrorism and the media is considered one of the main research topics in terrorism studies. The media enjoys the ratings and drama the coverage of terrorist attacks brings. Similarly, terrorist organizations benefit of the extensive exposure for their actions, goals, and agenda. In this study we tackle these relations, trying to determine what are the criteria that capture popular attention. The project focuses on terrorist attacks taken place in Egypt and compare the online exposure of different terrorist groups in line with the list of variables examined.
